First stone of the ITAV

The public investors of Cancéropôle launched the beginning of the public building sites. The representatives of the local communities were present to pose the first stone of the first public building which will open its doors at the end of 2008.

The ITAV (Institute of the Leading-edge technologies in sciences of Alive) multi-field hotel of search for 2000m ² dedicated to biology, required a public investment of 9 million euros: 6 interdisciplinary projects were selected right now. The building will also shelter the seedbed of companies, which will accomodate young people start up innovating in sciences of living and which involves an investment of 5 million euros. This proximity should allow to synergies between researchers and contractors, coherent with the spirit of Cancéropôle.

Panels mark the site

Panels and site's signs have been fixed up in order to provide the institutional communication that has been paid by the four local government bodies, which are partners in the deal.
These large pictures are showing the objectives and the concept of the Cancéropôle: care, research, hope and environment.
The set up reminds as well the achievement's major stages: the start of works in 2006, the first opening facilities in 2009 and in 2012 for the last installations.

First call for projects of the InNaBioSanté Foundation

In the wake of the first meeting of its Scientific Committee on March 6, 2007 which established the overall plan (priorities in areas of research) and defined the call for statements of intent (request for proposals) procedures validated by the Board of Governors, the InNaBioSanté Foundation launched its first call for statement of intent.

Visit of Xavier Bertrand Health Minister to the Cancéropôle

Health Minister Xavier Bertrand stopped in Toulouse on March 19th, 2007. Wellcomed by Foreign Affairs Minister Philippe Douste-Blazy, the minister visited the Cancéropôle site where the buildings of Pierre Fabre and Sanofi-Aventis groups are starting to grow.

Official creation of the University Cancer Clinic

Care and research professionals from Midi-Pyrénées private and public sectors join their strengh together to fight cancer. On Friday the 16th of February, they have signed the University Cancer Clinic birth certificate, which is the hospital part of the Toulouse Cancéropôle: in the presence of Philippe Douste-Blazy and André Viau Prefect of the Midi-Pyrénées Region.
